i like to leave the story up to the viewer on a conceptual in the description area, but i don't mind explaining anything in a comment. a girl gave me the ring over a decade ago (a very long story goes with her...). as a member of *The-Heart i'm always searching for creative ideas on heart pics, so when i came across this ring recently i put it in my pocket. i've been looking at everyone's hands for weeks. this hand is my mother's. it luckily fit her ring finger and turned out to give the image a really nice concept. i had almost given up on looking for a hand to use and i was thinking of different long-exposure multi-coloured lighting techniques for still life objects that i've done in the past. i'm much happier how this turned out though - instead of looking like a stock image, it has life and a story. thank you very much for the notice. i'm glad you liked it.
